【摘要】:Absoluteandcomparativemethodsprovideameasureforsortinglargequantitiesofnonferrouspartsorstockwithregardtocompositionorcondition,orboth.Thecomparativeortwo-coilmethodisusedwhenhigh-sensitivityexaminationisrequired.Theadvantageofthismethodisthatitalmostcompletelysuppressesinterferences.Theabilitytoaccomplishthesetypesofseparationssatisfactorilyisdependentupontherelationoftheelectriccharacteristicsofthenonferrouspartstotheirphysicalcondition.Thesemethodsmaybeusedforhigh-speedsortinginafullyautomatedsetupwherethespeedofexaminationmayapproachmanyspecimensperseconddependingontheirsizeandshape.Successfulsortingofnonferrousmaterialdependsmainlyonthevariablespresentinthesampleandtheproperselectionoffrequencyandfillfactor.Theaccuracyofasortwillbeaffectedgreatlybythecouplingbetweenthetestcoilfieldandtheexaminedpartduringthemeasuringperiod.1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedureforsortingnonferrousmetalsusingtheelectromagnetic(eddy-current)method.Theprocedureisintendedforusewithinstrumentsusingabsoluteorcomparator-typecoilsfordistinguishingvariationsinmass,shape,conductivity,andothervariablessuchasalloy,heattreatment,orhardnessthatmaybecloselycorrelatedwiththeelectricalpropertiesofthematerial.Selectionofsamplestoevaluatesortingfeasibilityandtoestablishstandardsisalsodescribed.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
